We are seeking a Chief Operating Engineer to be responsible for the operation of a facility's mechanical and electrical systems. The Chief Engineer will coordinate and assign work duties to the maintenance technician.
CHIEF OPERATING ENGINEER - Westlake, TX
Responsibilities: - Oversee the scheduling, maintenance, and monitoring of all heating, ventilating, air conditioning, water, electric, and other systems to ensure efficient operation.
- Implement and schedule preventative maintenance standards that are in compliance with Xerox guidelines.
- Provide formal supervision to maintenance technicians within a facility or portfolio (including performance management, coaching, and development).
- Manage and schedule all projects that have been delegated to the maintenance technicians.
- Review for accuracy and quality of work performed by the tech!
nicians.
- Maintain a critical parts inventory and monitors i
t throughout the year.
- Prepare and submit client/JLL maintenance reports (UPS batteries, QER, Overtime, Energy, SEP, etc.).
- Evaluate vendors and suppliers on a regular basis with regard to quality and competitive pricing.
- Communicate regularly with manager and attend scheduled staff meetings/calls.
- Other duties and tasks may be assigned.
Requirements: - Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent or technical school and 4-6 years of related experience and/or training.
- Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong customer service skills are required.
- Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
- Comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
